A panel of judges - experts in different fields - assess the candidates, seeking a mixture of individuals that represents current trends in technology and the diversity of innovation around the globe. They seek innovators who introduce new and better solutions that change the way people live or work.
Anyone who has a brilliant idea and has developed a project based on technological innovation and applied research can submit an entry. Entries from every field of research are accepted. Researchers, entrepreneurs and innovators from universities and research centres, start-ups, SMEs, corporations, and non-profit organizations are encouraged to participate. Categories span across biomedicine, computing, communications, health, education, digital, energy, materials, cyber security, fintech, wearables, robotics, education web and internet, transportation, and more.
